Youth Economic Opportunities Network (YEO Netowork) 2017 Results Report
Making Cents International
Making Cents International is committed to meeting the needs of the global youth population by developing and supporting evidence-based, scalable, and sustainable initiatives. For 11 years, our Youth Economic Opportunities Network (YEO Network) has contributed to the capacity of youth development stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate high-impact youth economic opportunity programs, policies, and partnerships.
The YEO Network engages implementers, donors, private sector companies, youth leaders, policymakers, researchers, and educators from across the globe. Our learning initiatives highlight the latest tools and methodologies, facilitate impactful collaboration, and generate new partnerships. To date, the YEO Network has engaged more than 174,525 individuals globally through four interconnected activities:
- Annual Global Youth Economic Opportunities Summit (GYEO Summit)
- "Apply it" Webinar Series
- Online Learning Hub (www.youtheconomicopportunities.org)
- Convening of Funders and Leading Global Companies
In 2017, our 11th Anniversary GYEO Summit and other live and virtual learning events reached 949 participants from 95 countries. Another 68,424 individuals from 184 countries engaged virtually through the online learning hub and monthly newsletters.
In 2018, the 12th annual GYEO Summit will take place September 25-27 in Washington, D.C. The Summit theme, Generation 2030: Learning and Earning in a Changing World of Work, will continue to build on our focus on the future of work, and move from broad trends to a deeper examination of critical topics.
We invite individuals and organizations committed to supporting youth and to reversing global youth unemployment trends to join the YEO Network and attend the GYEO Summit this fall.
