Growing Up Banked: Serving Youth throughout Their Lives
What happens when youth age out of the financial products they have taken up? Without successful migration strategies, the oft-discussed social and business case for youth propositions cannot be realized. Successful youth migration strategies, which ensure youth graduate to appropriate products throughout their lifecycle, are important both for the customer—by building savings and money management skills over time that are key to their transition to the workplace—and for financial institutions, as graduation and customer retention are necessary for a sustainable business case for youth products. In this session, Diamond Bank (Nigeria) and Women's World Banking will share Diamond Bank’s strategic and operational experience designing and implementing youth migration strategies, which are a critical component of any youth proposition. The session will also present challenges in implementing migration strategies and will invite discussion on how best to address these challenges.
