The future of work will require strong engagement of business as employers, mentors and partners to skills providers and government. This session will give practical examples of how Adam Smith International and Africa Working have engaged businesses to create opportunities for youth employment and youth who employ in Kenya and Nigeria. We will report on what impact this has made for businesses, what could incentivize others to adopt these practices and what impact these partnerships have had for youth. This session will draw on cases of scaling assessments, online training and linkages with employers through technology platforms and applications. Examples will include multinational companies like Microsoft, Safal Group, Barclays and international African companies like Africa Oil & Gas Ltd, as well as micro and small businesses.
