"Improving Gender Equality in Youth Livelihood Programs" was presented under the Workforce Development track at the 2012 Global Youth Economic Opportunities Conference. Excerpted from Field Notes, a publication series by International Youth Foundation, this article shares lessons from the International Youth Foundation’s global livelihood programs about how practitioners—throughout the program cycle—can become better informed about gender considerations and thus tailor programs and services to address and overcome the structural limits imposed on both young men and women participating in livelihood programs.
