Youth in Action

Save the Children

The Youth in Action presentation by Save the Children at the 2014 Global Youth Economic Opportunities Summit explores and discusses how to help young women and men (aged 15-18) to become aware of how their communities function, who the service provider and market actors are, what opportunities are available, and how they can get access to those opportunities. The presentation was given at the Morning Session "Work-Life Decision Making Amongst Adolescent Youth in Burkina Faso, Egypt, Ethiopia, Malawi and Uganda," where they also explored the practicalities of supporting young people to measure cost and risk before they commit to an education or employment pathway option.
