This breakout session will provide a broad overview of the Gender Action Learning Methodology System (GALS) methodology as an effective tool for increasing youth resilience and economic empowerment. It will explore GALS impact on rural youth working in agriculture in conflict affected coffee-growing regions like the Democratic Republic of Congo, and in Nicaragua.

We will then facilitate a part of the GALS training so that participants will participate first hand in a visioning exercise. We will then engage in a dynamic discussion on GALS effectiveness and limitations.
