Financial Services and Capabilities
Session Description:

While technology-led, particularly mobile, solutions seem like an easy win for financial inclusion and capability enthusiasts alike, leveraging technology to accelerate and improve efforts toward youth financial inclusion is more complex and challenging than many have anticipated. This session explores the current state of the use of mobile tools to advance youth financial services and considers the obstacles we face to unlocking its potentially transformative power. After an opportunity to discuss global trends and specific tools based on recent real-world applications, the participants will engage in a participatory exercise to explore potential solutions to obstacles to innovation.
