Global Entreprenership Congress
The Global Entrepreneurship Congress is an inter-disciplinary gathering of startup champions from more than 130 countries interested in sharing ideas with one another on how best to help new and young firms flourish in their countries. The 2013 Congress takes place from March 18 – 21, 2013, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with core sessions and an assortment of fringe events all taking place at the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon.
Last year in Liverpool, roughly 3,000 delegates listened to successful entrepreneurs like Richard Branson who talked of starting his first venture at the age of 16 and how that led him to a string of Virgin Group companies that now totals more than 400. In Rio, the GEC progresses to a new chapter as it focuses on the leaders building the best entrepreneurial ecosystems in a wide array of economies.
