IAVE Youth Conference

International Association of Volunteer Effort (IAVE), Volunteering Australia

The conference is a residential conference with registration fees including accommodation and conference attendance.

The IAVE Youth Conference will challenge, inform, energise and promote young people involved in volunteer effort. The Conference precedes the IAVE World Volunteer Conference and takes place on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
Opportunity for delegates to participate in volunteer activities with a host of organisations is a feature of the event. With a particular focus on social entrepreneurship, digital tools for changes, and volunteering as a pathway to employment, the IAVE Youth Conference will provide a platform for the youth of the world to exchange ideas, work together in a collaborative way, and ultimately redefine 21st century volunteering!
Who Should Attend:
  • Volunteers aged between 16 – 29 years 
  • Volunteer managers aged between 16 – 29 years
  • Leaders and staff within the volunteering sector aged between 16 – 29 years

Workshop topics will address: Disaster and Emergency Management, A Variety of New Age Technologies, there will be a Government Track, and a Corporate Track addressing Volunteering and Employment, moving from Volunteering to Social Entrepreneurship. Two Further areas of examination will be Project Management looking at Resource Development (Financial and Human), and Social Innovation Crowd-funding, Storytelling (Social Media and Networking) and a Business Model (Canvas-in-a-box). 

Young Presenters will be drawn from the African Continent, Latin-America, Western and Eastern Europe, Noth America, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Australia and New Zealand.
