AIYD Learning Series: Market Assessments for Youth Livelihood Programming

Alliance for International Youth Development, Mercy Corps, EDC

With the proliferation of market assessments, it is a promising moment to stop and take stock of what makes them effective - or not, highlight trends and approaches that work well, and honestly and openly discuss the challenges and occasional pitfalls and failures involved in these analyses.

Please join Tara Noronha of Mercy Corps and Mike Tetelman of EDC for a lively discussion drawing on their experiences of designing and carrying out market analyses in Africa and Latin America/Caribbean. The conversation will include topics including: "top ten" best (and worst) approaches, appropriate methodology and tools, evolving trends, and the advantages and challenges of youth participation.
