2.3 Building Soft Skills

Recognizing the consensus that business training and entrepreneurial support are more successful when young people are supported in building self-confidence and acquiring life skills in parallel, there is increasing experimentation in how best to incorporate soft skills training and support. Across the 2013 Conference, many variations were presented ranging from CAMFED’s programs, which provide participants with peer to peer mentoring to Ashoka, which is supporting social entrepreneurs that offer training in meditation to help disadvantaged youth coming to overcome trauma and manage stress.
