Chapter 5: Monitoring, Evaluation, and Impact Assessment

As donors and practitioners increasingly seek rigorous learning from their youth-focused interventions, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) remains a key tool to support that learning and advance our understanding of what works, why, and in what context. Making Cents International’s 2013 Global Youth Economic Opportunities Conference provided a platform to share new insights on M&E, including on the measurement of child-level impacts of livelihood programs, the measurement of risks in providing youth financial services, and new robust evidence on the importance of life skills.
