2012 Foreign Assistance Briefing Book (FABB) to Include Chapter on Youth

The InterAction produces the Foreign Assistance Briefing Book (FABB) each time there is an electoral transition. The FABB is distributed to all members of Congress as well as within the Executive branch and at senior leadership levels of USAID and the State Department.

For the first time ever, InterAction is pleased to announce that the FABB will have a section dedicated to youth.  In fact, this is only the second cross-cutting issue that has ever been featured in the FABB.  The other cross-cutting issue covered by the FABB is Gender.

This is a 1-day, experiential training course that explores considerations for adapting existing economic capacity building activities for young people. More specifically, participants will consider why adapt economic capacity building materials, different types of adaptations, and fitting new/adapted material into existing institution or project structures.  The touchstone of the training will be a hands-on exercise that allows participants to apply lessons learned from the workshop to an existing curriculum. By the end of the workshop, participants will leave with a curriculum adaptation action plan that speaks to the economic capacity building needs of a particular target group.
